Yorkville Tower

The Yorkville Tower construction project consisted of one 36 story and one 12 story residential condominium above one floor of retail space. There were concerns about exceeding the equipment budget, but these were overcome by a step by step analysis of the building. The findings also indicated that using traditional heat pumps would demand an increase in the fluid cooler, piping system, pumping stations and primary electrical service. A solution was required that met the budgetary constraints as well as the high environmental and efficiency standards. This solution was found in the BULLDOG Heat Pump. It has both low installation and low operation costs, due to its cooling efficiency. The Varipak Make Up Air units also offered flexibility to the building for outdoor air treatment in common and retail areas. The building’s budgetary, environmental, economical, and structural requirements were all met with ease.
